Antony Simon: a study in faith

 

I had been reading about this guy, Antony Simon, in ZION’S FIRE, the July – August 2017 issue when my pastor asked me if I would like to preach Sunday P.M. service.

 

I had a bad experience a while back after teaching why the King James Bible is the preserved Word of God.  I said that I would never preach or teach again.  I figured that just wasn’t what the Lord wanted me to do.  But I was wrong.

I don’t tell God He tells me.  So when the pastor gave me the privilege of teaching something from God’s Word I said I would.

I always tell people never make a hasty decision.  Instead pray and let some time pass before saying or doing something you may later regret.  Hard for me to do that because I am just not prone to do that.  I am hasty with my mouth and sometimes actions.  Many a time I have had to apologize for my caustic tongue or something I’ve done.

Anyway, the article about Antony Simon made such an impact on me that I used it for my sermon.

Read Hebrews 11:1-6

 

When the pastor ask me if I would preach

I had just been reading about this guy

Who was COMPLETELY SOLD OUT TO JESUS

This guy, HIS NAME IS TONY, was a
2017BOOK OF ACTS – STREET PREACHER

A STREET PREACHER IS NOT SOMEONE WHO STANDS ON A STREETCORNER AND PREACHES

THOUGH THAT IS WHAT MANY THINK STREET PREACHING IS

To me street preaching is walking the sidewalks, going to the mall, going door to door passing out gospel tracts, and telling as many people that will listen the gospel.

Last may, in Iraq, on Memorial Day

While TONY was walking back to his hotel
after preaching in an Iraqi church,
Tony,  was hit by a car and killed.
He was 53 when he went to be with his Saviour.

 

I HAVE NEVER MEET TONY

Except for what I have read in a short article
I know absolutely nothing about him

But SPIRITUALLY I KNOW ALL ABOUT HIM

 

1 CORINTHIANS 2:11
for what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the spirit of God.
Notice that this verse is about a Christian.

We are all born with a DEAD spirit

When we are born again our spirit is made alive

That is it

That is the ONLY criteria for entrance into heaven

If you die with a living spirit you go to heaven

If you die with a dead spirit you go to HELL

That is the long and short of salvation

ONE MORE THING

Those who have a living spirit are kindred to others that have a living spirit

I know a lot about Tony because both of our once dead spirits have been made alive by the grace of God through faith in the BLOOD of Jehovah Jesus Christ

ALSO

WE BOTH HAVE THE HOLY SPIRIT IN US
1 Corinthians 3:16
Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that
the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?

 

Tony’s full name is Antony Simon

He was a man of HEBREWS CHAPTER 11 FAITH

He was a fearless STREET PREACHER

Tony was a modern day JOHN THE BAPTIST

He said,

“I cannot picture not telling people about Jesus,
from the time I became a believer, I knew that I had to take the gospel to everybody”

Mark 16:15
And he said unto them, GO ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.

Jesus said, GO

Luke 14:23
and the lord said unto the servant, go out into the highways and hedges, and
COMPEL THEM TO COME IN, THAT MY HOUSE MAY BE FILLED.

 

Tony was 18 years old when he was saved

And he didn’t need to read
MARK 16:15
For him to GO

2 Corinthians 5:17
therefore if any man be in Christ, HE IS a new creature: old things are passed away; behold,
ALL THINGS ARE BECOME NEW.

 

THIS IS IMPORTANT

IF YOU ARE DOING CHRISTIAN THINGS
BECAUSE THE BIBLE TELLS YOU TO

I WANT TO BE A CHRISTIAN SO I’LL READ MY BIBLE AND FIND OUT WHAT I NEED TO DO – THAT’S RELIGION – THAT’S PHILOSOPHY

OR

If you search the Bible looking for LOOPHOLES so you can
Gamble – drink – pursue the lust of the flesh

YOU PROBABLY AREN’T SAVED

CHRISTIANS are those who are BORN AGAIN into the family of God
ROMANS 8:9
But YE ARE NOT IN THE FLESH, but in the Spirit, IF so be that the Spirit of God dwell IN YOU. Now
if any man HAVE NOT the Spirit of Christ, he is NONE OF HIS.

CHRISTIANS have an innate spiritual DNA that
just knows godly things

Don’t be confused by the term spiritual DNA

What I am saying is when God gives life to a Christian’s spirit He also gives gifts.  That is what I mean by spiritual DNA

PHYSICAL DNA

Is a set of instructions on how to build you

Eye color – Two arms – ten fingers, you will die of colon cancer or whatever.

The instructions are tens of thousands of lines long

That a lot of instructions

Computer gurus call it code

The thing is it happens at conception!!!!

How could all that information fit in the itty bitty cell made at conception? How could it be possible?

GOD DOES IT

GOD MAKES IT POSSIBLE

 

ANIMAL DNA gives animals an instinct to SURVIVE

THAT IS WHY IT IS SO HARD TO KILL A DEER

HUMAN DNA gives not only an instinct to live but also a desire to LIVE

And Christian SPIRITUAL DNA gives Christians
a DESIRE TO LOVE AND SERVE JEHOVAH JESUS

1 Corinthians 9:16
For though I preach the gospel, I have nothing to gloryof: for NECESSITY IS LAID UPON ME; YEA, WOE IS UNTO ME, IF I PREACH NOT THE GOSPEL!

Paul’s spiritual DNA was to preach the gospel

ALL Christians have an innate Love for God
A CHRISTIAN’S INNER MOST desire is to
BE PLEASING TO GOD

CHRISTIANS GO TO CHURCH
BECAUSE OF THAT INNATE FEELING

 

CHRISTIANS live SEPARATED from the world because
they know that pleases their Saviour
Jehovah Jesus

CHRISTIANS tell others because that is what their Lord wants them to do

Mark 16:15
And he said unto them, GO ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.

Tony’s new spirit and his
love for his Saviour

COMPELLED him to go Out on the streets Passing out tracts and preaching

John 12:32
And I, if I be lifted up from the earth,
will draw all men unto me.

Tony could not stop TELLING EVERYONE ABOUT JESUS

Because Tony had Hebrews CHAPTER 11 faith

He was SOUL WINNER DELUXE

 

In ENGLAND TONY walked the streets passing out tracts and preaching
In ISRAEL he walked the streets passing out tracts and preaching
In IRAQ he walked the streets passing out tracts and preaching

HOW DOES THAT HAPPEN?

Does God look down and say
Tony I am going to give you GREAT FAITH.
Larry NOT SO MUCH.
and
Frank he is getting just a LITTLE BITTY FAITH.

I THINK NOT

God wants ALL of his children to have
GREAT FAITH.

FAITH that POPULATES HEAVEN

FAITH that ENCOURAGES HOLY LIVING
FAITH that SEPARATES CHRISTIANS from
THE WORLD THE FLESH AND THE DEVIL.

 

Revelation 3:15-16
I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot. ¹⁶ so then because thou art LUKEWARM, and neither cold nor hot, I WILL SPUE THEE OUT OF MY MOUTH.

Jehovah Jesus wants HOT CHRISTIANS

THAT IS WHY
I believe with all my heart that
Tony is an example of a
NORMAL CHRISTIAN

Faith moves the heart of God

When you believe God
and you OBEY JESUS BY GOING
MAN OH MAN
DOES THAT EVER MAKE GOD HAPPY

Mark 16:15
And he said unto them, GO ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.

when you GO that is the evidence  of
Hebrews 11:1  
now faith is the ¹substance of things ²hoped for, the ³evidence of things not seen.

 

There are 3 important words in Heb 11:1

 

The first word is SUBSTANCE

Substance is in the kjv 50 times

And all 50 times it means
Something real, not imaginary;
something everyone can see.

 

The second word is HOPED

The hope in Hebrews 11:1 isn’t a hope like
I HOPE I CATCH A NICE FISH,Which for me would be a FUTILE HOPE
Or,  I HOPE I WIN THE LOTTERY,Which is also a FUTILE HOPE
because I DON’T PLAY THE LOTTERY

Here is what HOPE means

Jerry megatory has a lottery number

HE HAS A HEBREWS 11:1 HOPE THAT NUMBER WILL WIN 10 MILLION DOLLARS

He plays those numbers

He knows he is a winner

so he immediately buys a Ferrari

Then he buys his dream fishing boat

Jerry megatory’s hope is based on a
FOUNDATION OF NOTHING

And when the bills are due
HE WILL BE HURTAIN FOR CERTAIN

But

That is the hope in Hebrews 11:1

THE HOPE IN HEBREWS 11:1  Is a “I KNOW IT IS TRUE”,
“I KNOW IT WILL HAPPEN”
because it’s WRITTEN in the King James 1611 BIBLE

Our last word is EVIDENCE
THE EVIDENCE IS YOU
LIVING A SEPARATED, HOLY LIFE

DEDICATED TO GOING

Mark 16:15
And he said unto them, GO ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.

 

Tony went into HOSTILE TERRITORY.
Confronting MEAN – UGLY – VIOLENT PEOPLE
That is part of STREET PREACHING

Someone asked TONY if that scared him

He said “PERFECT LOVE CASTS OUT FEAR”

 

IF YOU WERE EVER ARRESTED
for being a CHRISTIAN would they have enough EVIDENCE to convict you?

 

WHATSOEVER IS NOT OF FAITH IS SIN.

Romans 14:23
²³and he that doubteth is damned if he eat, because he eateth NOT of FAITH: for whatsoever is not of FAITH is sin.

faith is a prime factor, it should be
cultivated and nourished
in every Christian’s life.

THE BIBLE TELLS US HOW TO DO THAT

Romans 10:17
¹⁷so then FAITH cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

This is why I always name the King James 1611 as the preserved Word of God

THE BIBLE GOD BLESSES AND SATAN HATES

THAT is the reason why the devil works so hard

To get us to REPLACE THE KJB with
MODERN ANEMIC APOSTATE BIBLES.

You get faith only ONE WAY,
by the word of God.
Read it.
Study it.
Memorize it.
But most important – BELIEVE IT

When you believe
that gets it out of your head

And into your heart

 

FAITH IS THE CONFIDENCE IN THE TESTIMONY OF ANOTHER.

YOU GET FAITH BY BELIEVING GOD

Romans 10:17 so then FAITH cometh by hearing, and hearing by THE WORD OF GOD.

Tony was a
Book of acts AMBASSADOR FOR JESUS

Tony was a ZEALOT FOR JESUS

Tony was also a
NORMAL CHRISTIAN

ARE YOU A NORMAL BOOK OF ACTS CHRISTIAN
