We need to agree on final authority.
Regardless of what you believe about the Bible, I am sure you recognize that if God is real – and He most assuredly is – then finding out exactly what He says and demands of us is most important. I must know for sure His will for my life. It makes no sense to me that God wants us to be ignorant or in confusion, and yet most people want to stay ignorant and spiritual confusion seems to be common in most people’s lives.
In the following
Bible quotes are from the King James Bible

Highlights that are in RED are mine
We need to agree on final authority
Jer 17:9 The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?
Here follow four types of final authority. Many “christians” believe all three, nobody who believes the first three points on final authority believes in the fourth point.
1] Most people are their own final authority. I don’t believe in Hell therefore there is no Hell.
2] Some make their church final authority: Catholics – Mormons – 7th day Adventists – Jim Jones type cults – Muslims. For them they have put their faith in the wrong place and they are trusting in the wrong people.
God puts it this way,
Co 11:13 For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ.
2Co 11:14 And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.
2Co 11:15 Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.
3] Some trust Science and/or Education. Many Christian pastors and teachers have fallen into this trap. They, and those they influence have rejected the final authority of the Scriptures and have turned to recognized scholars for the truth. Of course, they are not too different from Mormons who elevate the Book of Mormon to Scripture status, both extend from a fleshly belief that God could never preserve His Words, in spite of Psalm12:6-8, and that God is holding out on us something intriguing and that He isn’t powerful enough to keep His promise as found in Psalm 12:6-8.
I know that there are solid Christians who reject the King James as God’s final authority, but why is that? In the 20th century right on back into the 17th, most grew up believing that the KJV was the inspired word of God. What changed that, certainly not the flood of modern translations? It was liberal theology in the guise of fundamental Christian education that taught that the KJB was like any other book and therefore had errors in it. It worked because:
the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would. Galatians 5:17
THE WAY BACK TO GODLY FAITH IS:
Rev 2:5 Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent
4] THE BIBLE
This is the fourth point. It is the absolute belief that final authority is the written Word of God. They read the KJB and believe it as it reads. They take it literally because they know that logic dictates it, and the Holy Spirit confirms it.
Joh 16:13 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.
The only way to increase faith is by believing God and the only way to believe God is to believe His words as read in the Bible – which bible, the only Bible the KING JAMES BIBLE.
Romans 10:17. So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
The reason we are deep in the Laodicea church age is that the faith of many is corrupted.
This is an either or thing. You either believe the Bible of you don’t.
Luke 18:8 I tell you that he will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?
2Pe 1:16 For we have not followed cunningly devised fables, when we made known unto you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but were eyewitnesses of his majesty.2Pe 1:17 For he received from God the Father honour and glory, when there came such a voice to him from the excellent glory, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. (This happened in MATHEW 17 )2Pe 1:18 And this voice which came from heaven we heard, when we were with him in the holy mount.
2Pe 1:20 Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.
WHAT PETER IS SAYING IS:
SCRIPTURE INTERPRETS SCRIPTURE. NOT HUMAN FEELINGS OR EDUCATION OR CHURCHES.
2Pe 1:19 We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts:
THE BIBLE IS MORE SURE THEN PETER HEARING THE ACTUAL VOICE OF GOD IN MATTHEW 17 and That’s as PLAIN AND SIMPLE as God can make it. Reject it if you want but pay day is coming (Revelation 20:12) .
Rom 3:4 God forbid: yea, let God be true, but every man a liar; as it is written, That thou mightest be justified in thy sayings, and mightest overcome when thou art judged.
JESUS ALWAYS ACCEPTED SCRIPTURE AS FINAL AUTHORITY.
READ MATTHEW AND NOTE HOW MANY TIMES IT SAYS:
Mat 1:22 Now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying,
Mat 1:23 Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.
JESUS SAID IN MARK 13:31 Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my WORDS shall not pass away.
JESUS SAID IN MARK 8:38
Whosoever therefore shall be ashamed of me and of my WORDS in this adulterous and sinful generation; of him also shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he cometh in the glory of his Father with the holy angels.
Might this “ashamed of me and of my WORDS“ be using modern translations AND BELIEVING IT WHEN YOU SHOULD HAVE BEEN STUDYING THE KJB, AS WE ARE COMMANDED TO DO IN THE FOLLOWING VERSE?
2Ti 2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
That verse referees to those manuscripts centered in the church at Antioch. That is what was to be studied. Proof. That is all the Church had when 2nd Timothy 2:15 was wrote, and this epistle written by the apostle Paul was to end up in Antioch also. We are not speaking of the Old Testament here.
Ti 3:15 But if I tarry long, that thou mayest know how thou oughtest to behave thyself in the house of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth.
IF YOU READ FIRST AND SECOND TIMOTHY THERE WILL BE NO DOUBT THAT WE ARE TO STUDY THE SCRIPTURES, OF WHICH THE NEW TESTAMENT IS ALSO INCLUDED AS THE FOLLOWING VERSES TELL US:
2Pe 3:15 And account that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation; even as our beloved brother Paul also according to the wisdom given unto him hath written unto you;
2Pe 3:16 As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction.
TIMOTHY HAD A PERFECT COPY OF THE OLD TESTAMENT, THOUGH IT WAS OVER 2,000 YEARS OLD, AND IF GOD COULD PRESERVE THE OLD TESTAMENT DON’T YOU THINK HE COULD PRESERVE THE NEW?
PAUL TELLS US
2Ti 3:15 And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. 2Ti 3:16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
PAUL TELLS US that the SCRIPTURES, teaches us how to be a man of God.
2Ti 3:17 That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.
Isa 40:8 The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but the word of our God shall stand for ever.
So, what’s the point of looking for something else? That’s what the natural man does. WHAT KIND OF A PERSON WOULD ADD OR REPLACE “the word of our God shall stand for ever.” Those who discard the King James Bible for modern translations that who.
Psa 138:2 I will worship toward thy holy temple, and praise thy name for thy lovingkindness and for thy truth: for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name.
Why would any God fearing person substitute anything else?
Psa 12:6 The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times.
Psa 12:7 Thou shalt keep them, O LORD, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever.
Then in the next verse we read what happens if the first two verses become a castaway:
Psa 12:8 The wicked walk on every side, when the vilest men are exalted.
Joh 12:48 He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day.
Think about that the next time you are reading modern translations and encouraging others to do so also.
Joh 5:45 Do not think that I will accuse you to the Father: there is one that accuseth you, even Moses, in whom ye trust. Joh 5:46 For had ye believed Moses, ye would have believed me: for he wrote of me. Joh 5:47 But if ye believe not his writings, how shall ye believe my words?
Joh 5:39 Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me.
Joh 5:40 And ye will not come to me, that ye might have life.
The above is a command of Jesus to Search the scriptures and He wasn’t talking about the Book of Mormon, the one world translation, NIV, ASV, or the so called Living Bible.
FEAR ADDING TO THE SCRIPTURES
Deu 4:2 Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish ought from it, that ye may keep the commandments of the LORD your God which I command you.
Pro 30:5 Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him. Pro 30:6 Add thou not unto his words, lest he reprove thee, and thou be found a liar.
Rev 22:18 For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: Rev 22:19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.
MANY DO NOT FEAR OR RESPECT GOD
Rom 3:18 There is no fear of God before their eyes.
NO UNSAVED PERSON CAN TEACH ANYTHING SPIRITUAL TO A TRUE CHRISTIAN
2Co 4:2 But have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully; but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man’s conscience in the sight of God.
2Pe 1:17 For he received from God the Father honour and glory, when there came such a voice to him from the excellent glory, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. 2Pe 1:18 And this voice which came from heaven we heard, when we were with him in the holy mount. 2Pe 1:19 We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts: 2Pe 1:20 Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.2Pe 1:21 For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.
Well the ball of faith is in your court now. What will you do about it?
