THE ROMANS ROAD and PROPHECY
Before you read this let me make this plain. WE ARE SAVED BY GRACE not by works or any righteousness that we have or will do.
THE CROSS IS PROOF OF THAT.
THE ROMANS ROAD IS AN EXCELLENT OUTLINE FOR WINNING SOULS.
It has four points
1, Romans 3:23
Rom 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
Every one of us are or were LOST sinners
2, Romans 6:23
Rom 6:23A For the wages of sin is death;
You are a Hell bound sinner without God and without hope
3. Romans 5:8
Rom 5:8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
Jesus died on the cross for you
4. Romans 10:9-10
Rom 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
Rom 10:10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
We tell the sinner, If you agree with the first three points then you can receive forgiveness for your sins by calling on the Lord Jesus to save you.
The serious soul winner of course will expand on the above as the Holy Ghost helps him in speaking to each individual. However, a good soul winner will stick to the points outlined and to there order.
NOW answer me this
Which is the most important point in the Romans Road outline?
I think it is point one, Romans 3:23.
And this is why
IF SOMEONE BELIEVES THE GOSPEL BUT DOESN’T REALLY BELIEVE HE IS LOST.
FOR HIM BELIEVING THE GOSPEL IS VAIN.
I wonder how many will end up in Hell because of over zealous and/or deluded well meaning Christians who do not wait for the convicting power of the Holy Ghost to cause a sinner to tremble because of his sins.
THE REASON FOR GENESIS 6,
is that the law – Exodus through Deuteronomy – the ten commandments – were not yet given.
That meant they had no standard nothing to say this is sin.
Therefore, every person in Genesis 6 did that which was right in his own eyes.
Today, In America, we are determined to eliminate God’s law along with the lawgiver – Jehovah Jesus. That has resulted in America quickly morphing into the days of Noah.
Mat 24:37 But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
Mat 24:38 For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark,
Here is an example of no law
Let’s say there is no speed limit on this certain road. Many people drive over one hundred miles an hour and many accidents happened, people are killed and cars wrecked. Of course the drivers were responsible for the mayhem but not for what caused it; no speed limit.
Only when a speed limit was posted 35 MPH then the road was safe to travel on.
The ten commandments are our “speed limit” law. And we should habitually use what God has used in the past, the ten commandments, in our Church age of God’s Grace. The commandments of God show the sinner his depravity (Romans 7).
Galatians 3:24 Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith.
America’s conviction about sin began to weaken in the late nineteenth century when the King James Bible was attacked by using the teaching that it was as any other book then along came toleration and separation began to crumble.
After the scopes trial in 1926, many good churches began drifting into uncharted dangerous waters, such as embracing evolution and then in the 1950’s they began preaching a kinder gentler salvation message. That always happens when separation is relegated to a lower priority, and the results are certain – APOSTASY, which is in my personal dictionary is a synonym for lawless.
NO FINAL AUTHORITY + NO SEPARATION = LAWLESSNESS
Those who do not think that lifting up and fighting for God’s final authority
– THE KING JAMES BIBLE ANY EDITION –
is critical, are chasing straw dummies, and they are a reason for the popularity of the churches embracing Laodicean mores. Every Church every Christian should be fighting against toleration and the attack on God’s integrity.
